As longer term business travelers, we loved the gorgeous location and the friendly staff at the hotel. the decor was beautiful with stunning chandeliers, creating a nice and comfy atmosphere. the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. We also enjoyed taking a walk around the grounds and meeting some peacocks. the bathroom was amazing and huge, and although we didn't have time to use the bath, the shower was really relaxing. the hotel provided a charming and peaceful experience.
Felt snug, no reason to complain.

Everything excellent. Peacocks, baby peacocks, food, staff - all amazing. Kenny's stories were great. Great spa. Perfect birthday getaway.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Excellent food, friendly staff, and beautiful grounds. Loved the complimentary Prosecco offer, even though we don't drink. Room was a bit warm, but understandable due to warm weather.

The hotel is beautiful so far. Partly in need of renovation. The room was a standard room and therefore okay. The outside area is very beautiful and idyllic. Worth a nice walk. The staff very friendly.
The food in the restaurant was not worth a point. The vegetables were hard and cold, the meat very little. In the ice we could find a big piece of plastic (probably from the ice pack) very disappointing for then much too much money!

We were kinda surprised by the beautiful surroundings and well-tended garden at Ruthin Castle Hotel And Spa. The bar served delicious food and the staff were very friendly. Despite the shortcomings mentioned in other reviews, we had a comfortable stay overall. The room was spacious and the bathroom modern. The location was ideal for exploring the area.

Ambience both inside and outside of Hotel. The lovely grounds and the feel of the Dining Room. Peaceful and tranquil walking around the Hotel gardens.
Bathroom needed upgrading plus a small fridge or mini-bar in room would be useful otherwise Hotel was a pleasant experience. Menu needs to be upgradied.

The location of the hotel is stunning, with beautiful surroundings and a grand entrance through the arch. the rooms, like the De Grey Suite, provide comfortable beds and newly refurbished shower rooms. the spa facilities, especially the sauna and steam room, offer a great way to relax. the restaurant serves delicious meals, and the bar offers a wide variety of beverages. the presence of peacocks wandering around freely adds a touch of charm to the experience.
The cleanliness of the hotel leaves much to be desired, with cobwebs in the windows and dead flies on the window sills in the bar. the overall appearance of the castle is tired, with cracks in the paintwork and doors that require cleaning or repainting.

The building itself and the grounds surrounding it ooze with a sense of history. The interior did not disappoint having been updated to provide all the facilities you would expect in a hotel of this class in a sensitive and stylish manner. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable about the building itself and the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good. The evening meal (from the bar menu) was excellent value. We loved the peacocks in the grounds. We stopped there to mark a very special occasion, the staff and the place itself made the weekend feel really special, surpassing our all our expectations.

The castle itself was absolutely stunning, with amazing decor and a true sense of history. the restaurant staff were friendly and the food was excellent. the grounds were beautiful, with the added bonus of peacocks roaming around. the spa offered a thermal suite, steam rooms, and a relaxation room, perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The hotel could benefit from some maintenance and a fresh coat of paint in certain areas.

Ruthin Castle Hotel is a beautiful hotel in all respects - bedrooms, common parts and the grounds, and the price for the room was excellent and we would most certainly recommend it.
